preparations

for a chilly fall night


1 small onion, diced.
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 can of black beans (rinsed & drained)
1 can of white beans (rinsed & drained)
3 cups chicken broth
2 cooked chicken breast, diced
juice of 1 lime
1 tsp-1 TBS ground chipotle pepper (depending on how spicy you like it)
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Saute' onion and garlic in olive oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least one hour.
top with your favorites. we like cilantro, sour cream, avacado, and black corn chips.

I've had this bookmarked forever, and finally tried it. YUM! Thanks so much, we are huge fans of this soup and I'm so excited to have found a great recipe. Last time I added frozen corn & tomatillos.... perfection.
